Which mechanical systems does AS 1851 cover?
AS 1851 covers routine servicing of fire and smoke control equipment, including fire and smoke dampers, stair pressurisation, smoke exhaust systems and air handling shutdown on fire alarm.
Why does this testing matter?
These systems keep smoke out of escape routes during a fire. Building owners must keep them maintained and report on them each year (in NSW, through the annual fire safety statement). We provide the records you need.
